What is family dentistry?
That is usually a pretty simple answer. Family dentistry is anywhere you can go with your family. It could be for adults and children.
What are the benefits of family dentistry?
To answer that, it's kind of like a family physician. If you'd like to go to the same doctor and be seen with your children in the same place, this is pretty much what that is. We have patients who come here and bring their kids, and sometimes those kids grow up with us. That's what I consider being a family dentist.
We've been in the business for a while. I've seen those children have children, and then they bring their children. That's what family dentistry is to me, seeing families grow up and us getting older.
Do all dentists offer family dentistry?
I don't know. Some dentists probably don't. There are specialists, and obviously endodontists who do root canals. They probably don't treat children. There are pediatric dentists that sometimes your kids need to see if they have a special problem. I would say the answer is no. Not all dentists offer family dentistry, but many general dentists accept kids.
What services fall under family dental care?
I would say the answer is pretty much anything. Usually regular cleanings, routine appointments, fillings, crowns, and whatever your children may need. My goal is to see them young and get them used to the dental chair. Hopefully, with parents bringing them in and doing the right things at home, they don't have a whole lot of problems to fix.
If they do have problems and they're little, sometimes I would refer them to a pediatric office for a better experience. Then they would come back and kind of grow up with us. The services we offer are pretty much what routine general dentists provide, including cleanings, fillings, crowns, orthodontics, and other general dental care.
How do I find a good family dentist in the Manchester-Baldwin area?
Well, we're good. You can give us a call, but I would say do your research. Go online, look at Google reviews, and ask your friends and family. Usually, people go to a dentist in the area where they live. They don't want to travel far.

Conventional Crowns
A conventional crown is created in a dental lab at our request. This type of crown requires two visits.
Some of our patients ask about the difference between a crown and a veneer. A crown covers the entire tooth down to the gum line to protect it. A veneer covers only the front and tip of the tooth. Veneers are used to give a tooth a better appearance or repair chipped teeth.
Bridges
We offer two kinds of bridges: a conventional bridge and an implant-supported bridge. A conventional bridge is a method of tooth replacement which is anchored to the teeth on either side of a gap; an implant-supported bridge is anchored to dental implants placed in the bone of the jaw.
Root Canals
To preserve a tooth that has suffered deep decay or impact injury, we perform root canal therapy. This treatment cleans out the soft, live inner tissue and replaces it with sterile material. The tooth is then closed and covered with a crown as soon as possible.
Dentures
To replace a few missing teeth or a complete arch, we take pride in providing our patients with partial or complete dentures that fit well and provide an enhancement to their appearance.

Problems with the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) near the ear can result in pain, muscle tightness, teeth-grinding and a locked jaw. We can diagnose temporomandibular disorder (TMD) and help you with a solution.
